    Hasn’t ran for at least five years, it’s missing radiator and I’m having trouble figuring out what originally came in it and if I can get one, also missing key I’ve been looking and it looks like dodge dart was same engine and Brave was built on a Dodge RM-300 chassis

    • @wotracer49
      @wotracer49 7 місяців тому

      Yeah, a lot of my 1972 Brave was just a Dodge dually chassis, Brakes/suspension and stuff. The Radiator I'm not sure about.

    Just the video I was looking for . My vacuum line broke just like yours long before I took apart my intake manifold I can just tell by the look of it , what were your symptoms with the broken hose ? I never noticed anything but I’m sure I will when it goes back together fixed & clean , I scrubbed everything clean with diesel fuel & then soda blasted it down to bare aluminum again so I can get better sealant adhesion. I will have a video on my channel soon when I’m done !

      It was a lean code with a small hissing noise from under the intake. It did run much better when it was all done

    I used an air compressor pinch hose fitting with an 1/8” pinch. Then added a hose connection , put a 1/8” rubber washer. This pinches onto the vacuum tube in the intake, making it air tight, sell the washer seals at the exit hole by way of the pressure of the mounting screws and gives the ability to replace the hose in the future without removing the intake. I would add a picture but not sure how.

    Loved the video. What a great job on the RV. I love that you mentioned some of the mechanical things you did. I’m updating a 1995 Class A and it is really nice to know some of this things I could do on mine. Like the lock up switch for the rear diff. Any time you want to cover more things, like mechanicals for the RV house, I’m all ears. Great job!

      The lock up switch is for the transmission torque converter lock up (no slip means lower transmission temps)

    • @wotracer49

      No, oil should not be in the intake manifold. But an oil leak can ruin this vacuum hose.

    solar tip You can steplessly dim down a bulge and all other hungry electricity consumers with a 5000W dimmer (7, EUR). I run 5 dimmers in parallel on an 850W inverter. Kettle 2.2KW at 150W runs 12 hours a day, so the water is always hot. The room is also nicely heated. 2.5KW washing machine runs in parallel with dimmed to 200...400W. Iron, dishwasher, oven, electric heater, coffee machine, all internal heating are throttled with me. Videos on my channel ua-cam.com/video/eC2olbCBhh0/v-deo.html The inverter stays cool, quiet and the MOSFETs remain intact because no extreme current peaks arrive at the inverter. Now every Mini PV Inverter is enough to sell large devices...

    *Really 'Primo' build-quality!* *Interior/Exterior look 'better than new' and likely superior quality in craftsmanship and materials than a 'factory new $100K+ M/H'* ( *This is easily worth $50,000 in todays market, or more* ) ______________ *I would like full 'AGM' solar w/3 or even 4 batteries + 300-watts in panels rather than the generator, but on the other hand the roof-top A/C pulls a hellalotta' power so you need the 'genny' during the day when it's possible to hit 120F in the Southwest* ______________ *I gotta' nice paid-for house w/all the mod-cons and live 1.5 miles from a free State Park overlooking the Ohio River so not having an RV is not causing me any suffering* ( *Besides, I don't have the income anymore to afford leisure travel and I'm terrified of expen$ive break-downs in the 'middle of nowhere'* )
